Mediline have a robust Equality Policy which is actively enforced however due to the nature of the service provided by Mediline, a very high percentage of the companies employees are female with many working in the front line as care and support workers.

In terms of the legal structure of the business, the male to female ratio of the main board company directors is 2:1 which by implication skews the results of the median gender pay gap, however it is still a relatively low percentage and has to be taken into context when evaluating that the median gender pay gap that shows virtual parity between male and female pay.

For total transparency, the only bonus payments made to employees relate to “recommend a friend payments” and the long service, activity related vouchers issued at the year end and the analytic results reflect the disproportionate number of females to males.

In summary, the percentage proportion of males to females within each quartile banding is indicative of the synergy that Mediline have achieved across the organisation though the application of the companies Equality Policy.
