Mediline the first care group to land new Derby ‘dignity’ award

Derby Care Agency. Mediline are the first CARE provider to receive a new ‘dignity’ award in Derby City.

Derby City Council launched the accolade in conjunction with Derby Safeguarding Adults Board to recognise teams who treat service users with respect.

Mediline were chosen to receive the bronze level of the new award after demonstrating ten points. These included adopting a zero tolerance policy for abuse, treating people with respect and helping service users remain as independent as possible.

Presenting the award was: Lynn Woods, chief nurse at NHS Southern Derbyshire CCG; Allan Breeton, chairman of Derby Safeguarding Adults Board, and Councillor Mark Tittley, cabinet member for adults and health.
